Lady Hatchets Qualify For Golf State Finals!

September 27, 2008.  For the first time ever, the Washington Lady Hatchet golf team has qualified for the state finals.  Although former Lady Hatchet golfer Darin Pinnick qualified twice (2006 and 2007) for the state finals as an individual, this time the Lady Hatchets qualified as a team with their third place finish at the Evansville Regional.  Claudia Padgett led the team with an 80, while Malina Padgett turned in an 84.  Larren McDonald followed with an 85 while Blythe Wildridge closed out the scoring with an 88. 

Pinnick, Padgett Finish #1 and #2 at Oakland City!

August 31, 2006.  Darin Pinnick and Claudia Padgett shot 38 and 42 respectively at a four-team meet in Oakland City.  Their scores were the top two at the meet.  Darin’s round was 1 over par and Claudia’s round was highlighted by a double-eagle.  They are the only members of the Lady Hatchet golf team, so WHS did not have a team score.

Padgett & Pinnick Tie for Second at Boonville!

August 22, 2006.  The Washington girls golf team have only two golfers on their squad, but what a dynamic duo they are.  Freshman Claudia Padgett and junior Darin Pinnick each shot a 42 to tie for second place in the three-team meet at Boonville.  Although the Lady Hatchets didn’t field enough golfers to qualify for team scoring, Washington’s two individual scores easily outdistanced Boonville and Mt. Vernon’s top two finishers at the meet.
